What is StudentSquare?
While ParentSquare is for parents and guardians, StudentSquare is designed as a secure way for middle and high school students to communicate with teachers and stay connected with their extracurriculars.
What can students do with StudentSquare?
- Receive messages from school by email, website, or mobile app.
- Send messages to teachers and staff at school.
- Stay in the loop regarding late start days, extracurricular activities, and class projects.
- Subscribe to calendars, RSVP to events, complete forms, use sign-up sheets, and participate in groups.
How can students access StudentSquare?
All BCSS middle and high school students can access StudentSquare through:
- ClassLink on their school-issued Chromebook
- Apps through Apple iOS and Android stores (links below)
- StudentSquare on the web
Need Help Logging In?
Open the StudentSquare app.- Enter your email or cell number you used to activate your account.
- Tap Continue.
- Enter the password you created for your account.
- Tap Sign In.
Or if your school uses Google or Microsoft Single Sign-On and you are logged in to your school account, click on Sign In with Google or Sign In with Microsoft.

- Use your school email and password to slgn in or click the Microsoft Single Sign-On button

StudentSquare is our district's all-in-one communications hub for students in athletics, extracurriculars and activities in grades 7-12. The secure, district-approved app allows coaches and advisors to keep students (and their parents) up to date on news, events and schedules related to their sport or activity, and provides an easy-to-use platform for two-way communication if students/parents need to get in touch with their team’s coach or activity’s advisor.

ParentSquare is the primary, comprehensive platform designed for school staff to communicate with parents and guardians. StudentSquare is a targeted companion app built specifically for students (14 years of age and older) so they can directly receive class updates, view forms, and communicate with staff.

Use your school-issued email address to sign on through the mobile app or web portal.

Your school email must match the active record in the school system database (Parent Portal).

No, student accounts require your official school district login credentials.

Middle school and high school students can send direct messages to teachers and staff. They cannot message other students.

Yes, the platform supports automated translation features.

There are several ways to join a group for extracurriculars.
- Coaches and advisors will invite you to the extracurricular group.
- Join groups through a QR code.
- Check the “Groups” section to view or join authorized school teams and clubs.

Tap on interactive posts in your feed to RSVP, sign up for slots, or fill out permission forms directly.

The app will ask if you want to allow notifications. Select "yes.” Once logged in, students should set their notifications to receive messages "instantly." From home, tap "Account," then "Notifications." Under "Posts & Direct Messages" for your school AND the district, make sure the app notifications are toggled on and that you've tapped "Instant" for your settings so that you can receive messages via push notification instantly.
