According to the 2016 census, the population in Barrow County was 77,126. This represents a growth rate of over 11.2% increase from 2010-2016. Barrow County’s growth has consistently ranked in the Top 5 fastest growing counties in the State, and is one of the Top 20 fastest growing counties in the USA.
The Barrow County School System (BCSS) serves 15,300+ students. It is the 25th largest school district out of the 180 in the state of Georgia, with more than 2,000 employees. BCSS is the 4th largest Charter System in Georgia and is a PK-12 Research Charter System Designate.
