Congratulations to Laura Etheridge for being selected to serve on the 2024-25 School Social Work Advisory Council.
The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) School Social Work Advisory Council provides professional guidance, shares information, and makes recommendations to support school social work efforts statewide. GaDOE received an overwhelming number of exceptional applications, making the selection process highly competitive.
"I am delighted to serve and represent Barrow County Schools in the 2024-2025 GaDOE School Social Work Advisory Council. This council will allow school social workers throughout Georgia to learn and collaborate about the wonderful things being implemented in their districts. Barrow County is growing and changing, so learning about different perspectives to enhance understanding to serve our students will be beneficial to my team. My personal goal is to expand my knowledge as a professional school social worker to advocate for every child in Barrow County Schools, despite the challenges they face in their lives."
