The Barrow County School System and Chamber of Commerce partnered to offer Chamber members an opportunity to become a "Teacher for a Day."
Paired up with the 2023 Teacher of the Year at each school, five Chamber members shadowed the teachers in the classroom on Friday, Nov. 17. They helped with instruction, worked with students, and learned about the teaching profession.
The Chamber members shared why they wanted to participate:
- "I love Barrow County Schools and our teachers! I would love to see a day in the life!"
- "Seeing and learning how teachers make it happen with so many kids each day is quite interesting."
- "I love every opportunity to be involved in the school system."
- "As a Leadership Barrow Alumni, the principal for the day even was a great experience and I look forward to having another opportunity to sese what is happening in our schools."
We were happy to have the Chamber members enjoy a firsthand look into our classrooms!
