Amanda Pugh Earns Award at the Georgia ACTE Summer Conference.

Apalachee High School Law & Public Safety teacher Amanda Pugh received an award at the 2026 Georgia Association for Career & Technical Education (ACTE) Summer Conference.
Representing the Trade and Industrial Educators of Georgia (TIEGA) division, Mrs. Pugh was recognized as the 2026 Carl Perkins Community Service Award recipient in January. She was then named the overall state award winner. She will represent the state of Georgia in the Association for Career & Technical Education Region II competition in April 2027 in Concord, North Carolina.
Mrs. Pugh has more than 21 years of experience in education and recently earned her Specialist in Teacher Leadership Tier I degree from Georgia College & State University. She was also elected to serve on the SkillsUSA Georgia Board of Directors as the Law & Public Safety representative, beginning July 1, 2026, for a two-year term.
