Strategic Information Systems
Strategic Information Systems strives to provide reliable and timely computing resources, data infrastructure, and data analysis for students, staff, and families of Barrow County School System. Additionally, we work to keep the system aligned with the district strategic plan, mission, and vision, and system charter governance in all areas of operations.
Communications supports the variety of communication tools used by the district including the website, social media, district app, and emails. Media relations and emergency communications are also supported through this function.
Data Services ensures student data are accurate, confidential, and used to support learning and works to support all areas of the system including registration, assessment, data analysis, and program evaluation and accountability.
Information Technology Services supports all use of instructional and administrative technology in the district. This includes making sure technology and applications function properly, supporting innovative uses of technology, and helping staff choose the right tools for the job.
The Strategic Navigation Plan is intended to ensure all stakeholders - including the school board, district staff, principals, teachers, students, parents, and community members - are working toward a shared set of goals and priorities.
