System Operations is strategically organized into four functions to best support the Barrow County School District. Each of these functions operates with a shared vision to exceed expectation and be respected for the quality of our work and the excellence of our people.
Four Division Functions
Local Facilities Plan
Our Local Facilities Plan is an inventory of schools within the Barrow County School System which are eligible to receive State Capital Outlay funding for renovations and modifications. The plan also formulates and tracks state-recognized student population growth which in turn indicates eligibility for new classrooms. The local facilities plan is updated annually by school system staff working with their regional State facilities consultant. The plan is also reviewed every five years by a State sanctioned review panel.
