Academic Interventionists
Our district currently has 15 Academic Interventionists serving students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. An Academic Interventionist is a certified teacher who provides additional support beyond regular classroom instruction for students with identified skill gaps. The position was created to help students recover academically by providing data-driven, targeted instruction. Funded primarily by ESSER funds, the position was included in the BCSS COVID-19 Pandemic Recovery Plan.
