Andy Dean

Andy Dean is an educator who has worked over his career to help at-risk youth find a path to success. He has worked with all high school grade levels as a language arts teacher, but his primary work has been with 11th and 12th grade students. During his career, Mr. Dean has developed and led different programs to help students and faculty create positive school climates.
Mr. Dean began his career in 2002 after graduating from the University of Georgia. He holds a master's degree in teaching from Piedmont College and a specialist's degree in curriculum and instruction from Kennesaw State University. Over his career, he has also coached many sports including baseball, football, tennis, and golf.
Mr. Dean is originally from Atlanta but has called Athens home since 1995. His wife Angela is a language arts teacher in Jackson County. When not teaching, Mr. Dean and his wife love to travel and they have visited almost all 50 states.
