Media Specialist

Amber Hagy is a lifelong learner who is passionate about challenging students to become critical thinkers, communicators, collaborators and creators in her role as the Media Specialist at Bramlett Elementary. She has taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, STEM, EIP, adults working towards their GED, and high school students who were at risk of not graduating. She also has three years of experience with virtual, online teaching.

Mrs. Hagy began her teaching career in 2003 after graduating with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Emmanuel College. In 2006, she obtained a Masters in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. Mrs. Hagy completed a Specialist in Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning from Walden University in 2008. She has a reading and gifted endorsement, teacher leader certification and a school library media specialist certification from the University of West Georgia.

Mrs. Hagy is originally from Madison County but has lived in Loganville, Georgia since 2009. Her husband, Jerry, works for Norfolk Southern Railroad. She has two adult children, Weldon and Ava and is also a proud Mimi to her first granddaughter, Maggie. When Mrs. Hagy is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family, going out with friends, cruising, playing with her dog, and reading.
