Amy Wadley
Director of Special Education
My first teaching position was in the self-contained behavior classroom at Winder-Barrow High School in 2000 and I've been with Barrow County School System ever since! I worked as a co-teacher in social studies, and taught small group classes for ELA, math, and study skills. After this, I was the reading enrichment teacher for eight years in the small group setting. In 2012, I moved to the special education department chair role at WBHS, then in 2015 I became a district special education coordinator at the PDC supporting the high schools and transition. In 2019, I moved to the Assistant Director of Special Education role, supporting all levels and programs, but with a focus on secondary education and transition.
