High School Teams Shine at North Georgia League Tournament
On Saturday, January 25, 2025, our three high school teams competed at East Jackson Comprehensive High School in the North Georgia League Tournament. The RoboClovers-Silver (9th grade team) was awarded the Design Award Trophy, and finished as the 3rd place Alliance Captain Team. The RoboClovers-Gold (JV team) dominated the qualification rounds as the only undefeated team in the League with a 15-0 record but faced tough competition in the playoff brackets, ultimately finishing as the 4th place Alliance Captain Team. The RoboClovers-Platinum (Varsity team) won the Control Award Trophy and advanced to the Playoff Finals, securing an invitation to the Georgia FTC State Championship on February 15th.
Middle School Teams Compete at Mountain View High School
On Sunday, January 26th, two of our middle school teams, the AHS CloverBots and WBHS CloverBots, competed at the Mountain View High School SuperRegionals for a chance to advance to the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) State Championship. Both teams presented innovative project solutions to unique problems related to Deep Sea Exploration and competed in five high-scoring rounds of autonomous robot challenges. Although neither team advanced to the state finals, they represented Barrow County with abundant Gracious Professionalism.
