Sept. 13 Update from BCSS

sept. 13 message

BCSS Family,

It’s times like these when you fully understand what it means to be more than just neighbors. Thanks to our amazing staff, families, and community who have been there for students and each other all week, more than 90% of our students have returned to class.

Today, Principal Rehberg and I shared this video message with our Apalachee High School staff and families that we plan a gradual reopening for AHS the week of September 23. We are working with our community, teachers, parents, and experts to ensure we have the right systems and resources in place, including:

  • On-campus mental health support
  • Spaces for relocated classes
  • Scheduling, transportation, curriculum, and classroom materials

As a reminder, any final plans for reopening will come directly from the Barrow County School System.

Thank you for your trust, flexibility, support, and commitment.

Sincerely,

Dr. Dallas LeDuff
Superintendent, Barrow County School System
