Seneca Titshaw would lace up her softball cleats for one last season. Her senior year at Winder-Barrow High School would be filled with several great memories.
For Seneca, softball was more than a sport. It was about the life lessons she’d learn along the way and the friendships that she’d made.
“I’ve played softball since I was three years old, and it has taught me a lot of life lessons. Softball has taught me to never give up and persevere even through the hard times,” said Seneca.
She played on the Lady Doggs Varsity softball team all four years of high school. She played outfield on the team. She loved the thrill of the game and being with the team.
Her favorite softball memory occurred during the 2023-24 softball season.
“I hit my first homerun against Apalachee. I scored the only run that game, and in basketball, I scored the secure the win, a three-point shot against Clark Central in overtime,” said Seneca.
Seneca has also played on the Varsity Lady Doggs basketball team throughout her high school career.
Athletics have helped shape Seneca into the young role model she is today.
She plans to attend the University of North Georgia to attain a degree in criminal justice and become a game warden.
Seneca is an honor graduate at WBHS and will graduate with Hope.
She leaves underclassmen with one piece of advice - “Always take chances and don’t be afraid to ask for help or meet new people.”
Congratulations, Seneca! The Barrow County School System is proud of your hard work inside and outside the classroom.
