Science says that creativity is a product of the right hemisphere of the brain. Music and photography are both forms of artistry.
For Winder-Barrow High School senior, Kayla Xiong, her passions were prominent factors in her high school career.
Kayla enjoys being involved at school and outside of school. She has been part of the yearbook staff and in the band.
She has also participated in FBLA, Key Club, Student Council, and several other clubs.
With her free time, she’d volunteer at the Barrow County Animal Shelter.
Kayla joined the band her sophomore year, she started on the flute. She has learned to play several instruments since the beginning.
“I think that band has helped me evolve as a person. I was timid but the band helped me to grow as a person and grow mentally,” said Kayla.
“It introduced me to a world of new things, new people, new activities”.
Kayla plans to attend Georgia College to pursue business administration or computer science.
Congratulations, Kayla! Barrow County School System is proud of your hard work inside and outside of the classroom.
