Standout Senior: Eli Sauls

Standout Senior, Eli Sauls

Future Farmer of America (FFA) is designed to develop student leadership skills and agricultural education. There are many students that are impacted by FFA, but for Winder-Barrow High School senior, Eli Sauls, it is ingrained within him.

When Sauls was introduced to the program during his eighth-grade year at Russell Middle.

“FFA has completely changed my life and has opened many different opportunities. I’ve been able to meet people from all over the state and nation through this program,” said Sauls.

Being interactive with his peers has helped him grow his leadership skills.

Sauls is the Treasurer of the WBHS FFA Chapter. He has been involved all throughout his time at WBHS.

“My favorite memory was at the National Convention, it was my first time on an airplane, and we flew to Indianapolis,” said Sauls.

The program has taught Sauls several skills and left him with memories that he’ll cherish forever.

Last year, he started his own business creating outdoor recreational furniture. His agricultural knowledge has helped him with creating his business.

“I started the business making picnic tables, benches, swings, anything imaginable. I am most proud of starting my own business during high school,” said Sauls.

After graduating from high school in May, Sauls will attend New York Tech to attain his welding certificates.

Sauls encourages others to find their passions and to follow their dreams.

Congratulations, Eli! Barrow County School System is proud of your hard work in your endeavors.
