The Barrow County School System Custodial team received training between January and February of 2024.
Thirty-two Barrow County employees gathered at Bethlehem Elementary for on-site training. Head custodians and custodians participated in a "training rodeo."
The conducted training included fun competitions for team bonding, learning the best practices for efficiency, and safety procedures.
The training was conducted per Athens Janitor Supplies (AJS) and BC Custodial Trainers; Christopher LeBlanc-Commodore and Cherry Pittman Padovano.
After a fun day of learning, cheering, and laughing the group enjoyed a lunch provided by AJS.
Another recent custodial training occurred at the Center of Innovative Teaching (CFIT) in February.
Custodians were trained in fire extinguisher safety. Trainees participated in a safety class and ran drills to learn how to appropriately operate a fire extinguisher.
Thank you to the Barrow County Fire Department for working with our staff.
