Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition System-Level Winners!

Congratulations to each of our Young Georgia Author (YGA) winners!

The YGA writing competition is to encourage students to develop enthusiasm for writing. A YGA System-Level winner is selected for each grade level.

The following winners include:

• HES - Carolina Mackey - 3rd Grade
• AES - Melanie Solis - 4th Grade

• AIM - Madeleine Kahikina - 6th Grade
• RMS - Brylee Robinson - 7th Grade
• AIM - Abagail Welborn - 8th Grade
• BASA - Kris Temples - 9th Grade
• BASA - Lily King - 10th Grade
• WBHS - Jaxson Brown - 11th Grade
• WBHS - Carter Buffington - 12th Grade

The system-level winners' writings were submitted to the YGA Northeast Georgia RESA and Second Grader Daniel Allen from Statham Elementary won at that level. His story titled "The Kids Who Stood Up for People" now goes to the state level.
