Dance & Visual Arts After-School Residency

ArtsNow Learning, Inc. and the Barrow County School System are putting the A in STEAM!

Join us for a unique opportunity to learn about Science, Dance and Visual Arts integration in an after-school residency at the Center for Innovative Teaching! The program is open to students in grades 4-8. No prior training in dance or visual arts is needed.

Participating students will enjoy 6 sessions facilitated by Barrow County Arts and Innovative Magnet (AIM) program teachers and ArtsNow consultants. The residency will conclude on the last day with a showcase for parents and community members where students will share their products and performances.

Session dates and times:

• March 9, 10, 11, 2020
• March 16, 17, 18, 2020 
• Focus on Dance in 6th – 8th grade:   3:15 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
• Focus on Visual Arts in 4th and 5th grade:  4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

All sessions will be held at the Center for Innovative Teaching at 84 W. Midland Avenue, Winder, GA.  

Application Requirements:

• Completed application
  • Middle School Dance Application
  • Elementary Visual Arts Application
• $20 materials fee

Class size is limited to 30 participants at the middle school level and 30 applicants at the elementary level. Application deadline is February 26, 2020.
