Congratulations to Shelley Fallows on her promotion to Director of Secondary Education! Mrs. Fallows moves to the new role after serving as Assistant Principal at Haymon-Morris Middle School. Mrs. Fallows began her educational journey in Clarke County serving in a variety of roles, including middle grades science teacher, IB MYP coordinator, and instructional coach. She has served Barrow County since 2017 as both an instructional coach and school administrator.
With over 20 years of experience in a variety of roles, Mrs. Fallows brings a wealth of knowledge to this position. As Director of Secondary Education, Mrs. Fallows will coordinate middle and high school curriculum and instruction, along with other secondary programming, such as the Governor’s Honors Program.
She says, “I look forward to supporting the students and teachers of Barrow County through an ongoing partnership with building leaders. We will continue to carry out Barrow's vision of ensuring each student receives an exceptional education that leads to becoming a high achieving and responsible citizen."
Mrs. Fallows earned her B.S. in Ecology and her M.Ed. in Science Education from the University of Georgia. She received her Ed.S. in Advanced Educational Studies from Augusta University. Married to her husband, Chad, and a mother of four children, Mrs. Fallows enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being outdoors.
