On Tuesday, January 26, the Board of Education approved Todd Graichen as the new principal for Bramlett Elementary School. He will replace Karen Dowis upon her retirement at the end of this school year.
Graichen enthusiastically shared, "I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with the students, staff, and community members of Bramlett Elementary. I’m excited to join an amazing school community and look forward to many great successes to come in the future."
Mr. Graichen has worked as a school administrator for the last nine years, with over 20 years of elementary and middle school education experience. He returns to BCSS after spending the last three years in Jackson County as principal at Gum Springs Elementary School. In Barrow, he served as Assistant Principal at Auburn Elementary School.
Todd completed his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at East Carolina University and earned his Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Ohio Dominican University. Most recently, he obtained his Specialist in Educational Leadership at the University of West Georgia.
He's been honored to present at several professional conferences, including the National Association for Professional Development Schools conference, when he shared about his partnership with UGA's Safe and Welcoming Schools initiative.
With that robust experience, we eagerly welcome Todd Graichen to Bramlett Elementary and the Barrow County School System.
