Kelley Scredon was hired as the new Assistant Principal for the Alternative Education Program for Barrow County School System. She comes to Barrow from Oconee County where she worked as a middle school ELA teacher. Prior to that, Scredon spent eleven years teaching at Classic City High School in Athens, where she was named Teacher of the Year and STAR Teacher in 2014-15. During that time, she taught special education, English Language Arts, and Business education.
Scredon graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2003. She earned her Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix and most recently completed her Education Specialist in School Leadership in 2017 from UGA.
