Stephanie Byrd

Stephanie Byrd has been a School Social Worker with Barrow County School System since 2008. As part of her role, she serves on student support teams and special education committees and works with parents and students to discuss attendance concerns. Stephanie has special training in Critical Incident Stress Management, Vicarious Traumas, and Suicide Intervention. She provides individual or group counseling in response to school-wide issues and conducts home visits and risks assessments for students.

Stephanie is also active on several community programs including:

Stephanie Byrd serves Auburn Elementary, Kennedy Elementary, Westside Middle, and the Online Program. She also oversees the SOUPer Bowl Program, an annual system wide program that collects thousands of dollars in monetary donations and canned goods annually to support Barrow County’s community Food Pantry.
