Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2025 SOUPer (Schools Objecting to Unnecessary Poverty) Bowl food drive! This annual event supports Barrow's local Food Pantry.
This year, BCSS students and staff collected a total of 15,757 food items to help fight hunger and food insecurity in Barrow County. Eleven schools and programs, along with the central office, contributed to this grand total.
The real winners are our Barrow neighbors in need, who will receive a hand-up in the near future with this food. Barrow's Food Pantry is operated solely by volunteers from the Barrow County Cooperative Benevolence Ministry Inc. (BCCBM) and the Church of the Month Program.
A special thank you to Stephanie Byrd, BCSS School Social Worker, and the BCSS Counselors, who lead this food drive annually.
