2-Hour Delay for Feb. 16, 2021

Due to the possibility of black ice in the morning and out of an abundance of caution, the Barrow County School System will delay the start of school tomorrow morning (Tuesday, Feb. 16) by two hours. Before school care for Tuesday, Feb. 16 is canceled. Buses will still run in the morning. Pick-up times will just be two hours later than their scheduled time.

Here are the school hours for Tuesday, Feb. 16:

• Elementary School 9:30-2pm
• High School 10:30-3:35pm
• Middle School 10:30am-3:10pm
• BASA 9:30am-3:05pm
• AIM 11am-2:30pm

Distance learners will also follow this 2-hour delay.

Dual enrollment students and parents, please check the college website, BlackBoard, and student email for instruction regarding weather closings and delays. Some colleges are announcing delays and will continue to monitor conditions and adjust as necessary.
