Becky (Rebecca) Brunson

Hi! My name is Becky Brunson, and I’m thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade at Yargo! In the past, I have taught kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade, but 2nd grade is my favorite! This is my third year teaching at Yargo, and my second year in second grade. I graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC, and earned my Master’s degree at University of South Carolina. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I lived in South Carolina until 2015, when my family moved to Georgia for my husband’s job. We have 2 daughters – one is grown and the other is in college. We also have two big dogs. Besides taking care of them, I love to read, play games, watch movies, and watch college football. The Clemson Tigers are my favorites!

I’m looking forward to a fabulous year full of fun and work! I especially love to share great children’s books with my classes and watch them grow and learn during the year.
