Lisa Brooks

I am Lisa Brooks and this is my 15th year teaching Kindergarten at Yargo. I have previously taught Pre-K and fourth grade. I also had a five year career as a bank customer service representative before I started teaching.  I attended UGA and Brenau University.

I live in Watkinsville with my husband and two very cute Chihuahuas. We have one son, Graham, who is currently attending UGA graduate school to get his master’s degree in middle school education.   

My husband is a retired principal, so we certainly are a family of educators.

Kindergarten students are such a great age and bring joy to each and every day! I believe that school should be a place of learning, laughter, kindness, sharing, and excitement.  Teacher and parent communication is vital to a successful school year.
