WES 3rd Graders took a Field Trip to Stone Mountain Native American Festival and Pow Wow. Students were able to experience the cultures of Natives across the country. They watched men, women and children perform traditional dances from many different Native cultures. Students were also able to experience demonstrations of how the early Natives cared for their families, hunted, gardened, and even how the early Native children learned life skills through play. Students got to sit inside teepees and learn how the Plains people used all parts of the Buffalo in their everyday life. The Field Trip was a great way to see the 3rd Grade curriculum come to life.
