Chamber of Commerce: December 2024 Senior of the Month

Apalachee High School would like to recognize Kaitlyn Pritchett as our Chamber of Commerce Senior of the Month for December 2024.  I could not think of a better ending to 2024 than having the privilege of introducing Kaitlyn to you.     

Kaitlyn’s cumulative GPA is 104.13. She will have taken 13 Honors/Accelerated classes along with 9 Advanced Placement classes by the time she graduates in May.  Kaitlyn has excelled in all, even earning the highest grade in the class in her AP Physics and AP Seminar courses she took as a junior.  Her academic excellence is exhibited by being ranking 4th in her class of 437 students.    

Kaitlyn has maintained an incredibly high GPA while balancing her time with many extra-curricular activities. Kaitlyn has been a part of the award winning Apalachee Yearbook staff for three years, serving as Editor-in- Chief for this year’s edition. Kaitlyn has also been a part of Football Cheer the past several years.  She even serves on Apalachee’s Student Recovery Group this year.     

Kaitlyn’s Yearbook Advisor, Mrs. Stephanie Schaffer, states that “With Kaitlyn’s attention to detail, organization, and natural leadership, Kaitlyn has truly excelled both in the classroom and as editor-in-chief of our yearbook. Over the past three years that I have taught her in both honors English and Journalism, she has not only demonstrated exceptional skills in both of these areas, but she has also shown the dedication and vision that inspire those around her. She is an extraordinary student and leader, and this award is a testament to her hard work and leadership.” 

Kaitlyn is a Georgia Merit Scholar who also is a school finalist for the Governor’s Honors Program.  

Kaitlyn was accepted to the three colleges she applied to for early admission, including the University of Georgia, but has decided her best route of attending a degree in Public Policy and eventually advancing towards of her goal of practicing Law, is to be a Rambling Wreck from Georgia Tech.
