AHS Families,
On behalf of a grateful CHEE Administration, I’d like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation during the first day of using the weapons detection system. We feel that today went smoothly and appreciate how our students adapted and made the screening process as effective as possible on Day 1. We know that will be even more efficient as the week continues.
Some notes from today's implementation and reminders:
- Please have your Chromebook removed from any bag or carrying case and ready to give to a staff member on the side of the device. You only need to hand the staff member your Chromebook.
- Please allow a few feet of space between you and the person who is about to go through the device.
- Car riders and student drivers, please continue to arrive 15 minutes earlier than you normally do. This will significantly help us with starting first period on schedule.
We know this change will take some time to adjust to, and we are thankful to our wonderful students and staff for their continued support.
