Apalachee High School would like to recognize Alyssa Willer as our Chamber of Commerce Senior of the Month for March 2024. Alyssa is an exceptional student, with a cumulative GPA of 95.8. Alyssa will become only the second Apalachee athlete to earn a Varsity Athletic Letter for each season of her high school career. Twelve seasons-Twelve varsity letters.

Alyssa Willer will graduate as the most decorated athlete in Apalachee High School history. But that only tells half of the story, as Alyssa is a better person than student-athlete. Her community involvement paints the perfect picture of her sweat spirit and servant leadership approach. Alyssa is a leader in the Apalachee Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization and our Student-Athlete Leadership Team. Alyssa has participated in our Barrow Youth Leadership program and is an active member of the Children’s Ministry at Bethlehem Church. Her spare time is spent serving with the Spirit of Sharing, our Barrow County non-profit that provides blessings for families at Christmas through ‘Share the Blessings’. As you can tell, Apalachee High School will miss her in the hallways more than any athletic field. Her head softball coach, Mrs. Brooke Turner, states that ‘Alyssa is someone you want both in your classroom and on your field. She is a hard worker, leader, competitor and a fantastic individual. She is an absolute joy to be around.’
Alyssa has signed with Georgia Tech to continue her softball and educational career. She plans on majoring in Business Administration while minoring in Building Construction Science. Her goal is to become a project manager.
