Dear Apalachee High School Families,
Thank you for continuing to support our school system as we work together to navigate this school year and our response to COVID-19. We have seen an increase in our COVID-19 cases over the past week at your child’s school, and we currently have 27 active, positive cases among the school population of 1887, which has resulted in a rate of 1.43%. At this time, we are implementing a temporary change to further increase our mitigation efforts at the school while continuing to provide safe in-person learning environments for our students and staff.
Starting on Friday, August 20, 2021, we will require that all students and staff wear masks while indoors and on buses until the number of positive cases falls back under 1% for at least one week.
The health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority. We will continue to monitor our COVID-19 data and notify you of any additional changes. COVID-19 data is available on the district’s website and will be updated every Tuesday. Thank you for your support, partnership, and cooperation as we implement these temporary measures to support and maintain in-person learning for our students.
