Jeff Lalaian
Math Department Head
Jeff Lalaian grew up in Loganville and currently resides in Monroe. He received both his Bachelor of Science in mathematics and his Masters of Education in mathematics education from the University of Georgia.
Mr. Lalaian has previously taught mathematics and statistics for 21 years at George Walton Academy, where he was honored as STAR teacher five times. He has taught AP statistics for 18 years, as well as Dual Enrollment for the last two years. He has also spent time at Georgia Perimeter College and Truett McConnell University.
This is Mr. Lalaian’s first year at BASA and he is very excited to begin this new chapter in his life. He has been married for 16 years and has three beautiful and talented daughters. His oldest will be joining him this year as a ninth grader at BASA.
On the side, Mr. Lalaian has several interests, which include playing and watching sports, church activities, and spending time with his family. He has also authored the book Notlanta, a fun and enjoyable read about the last 40 years of our state’s unrelenting sports curse.
