Hello! My name is Kearsten Jones, and I am excited to become a part of the BASA family this school year!

While I have had many years in informal education at zoos and aquariums, I am new to the formal education scene. I received a B.S. in Biology from Georgia Southern University and a M.A.T. in Secondary Education/ Biology from Valdosta State University (Go Blazers!).  I love anything related to getting outside and discovering the natural world, especially animals! I also enjoy adding to my expansive book collection, creating different forms of art, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I am greatly looking forward to sharing my love of science with my students this year!
