As Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (BASA) senior, Zaharah Jones, reflects on her high school experience, she expresses great passion for participating in extracurricular activities.

Zaharah has participated in theater, soccer, and volleyball throughout her time at BASA.  

She decided to attend BASA in hopes of pursuing her passions.

“I chose to come to Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy because I saw that it was a school that heavily focuses on your pathways,” said Zaharah.

“When I saw that they had a really cool theater program, I knew that this was the school for me”.

Zaharah expresses her gratitude for her drama teachers, Bethany Barnes and Sherelle Patisaul.

“I have two really big role models at the school, Mrs. Patisaul and Mrs. Barnes. They have both taught me so much,” said Zaharah.

Zaharah plans to carry her love and passion for theater throughout her life.

After graduating from BASA, she will attend Brenau University and major in theater with the Gainesville Theater Alliance.
