Congratulations to our 7Mindsets Models of the Month for March 2022! These Blazers have really been shining on our campus this month.
Devon was nominated by Dr. Ridgway for the following mindset: We are Connected.
Here's what Dr. Ridgway had to say about Devon: "Devon is a student who is like a sponge when it comes to soaking in information and taking to heart things that I say. She is conscious of her BASA role as a student who should make others feel connected."
Estafani was nominated by Ms. Scott for the following mindsets: We are Connected and Live to Give.
Here's what Ms. Scott ad to say about Estefani: "Estefani perfectly embodies the principles of 'We are Connected' and 'Live to Give'. She encourages her classmates regularly by pointing out their progress, organizes study sessions, and tries to help everyone stay focused in class. She is also an amazing team manager for the girls' Varsity Soccer team who is dedicated, insightful, and hardworking. We are so lucky to have her here at BASA."
Sophia was nominated by Dr. Ridgway for the following mindsets: Everything is Possible, Passion First, 100% Accountable, The Time is Now, and Live to Give.
Here's what Dr. Ridgway had to say about Sophia: "Is there HONESTLY anything Sophia Gardner cannot do? Gardner might be one of the most talented students I have had the pleasure of teaching. Sophia is not only an excellent writer, but she is also an amazing artist. She is able to utilize her unique perspective to create works that stun the viewer. The list of talents do not end there. She is also an accomplished dancer who gives sometimes hours a day after being in school to perfect her talent. She even is doing an interpretative dance for me related to our nature walk inspired by the essay Nature and Walden. Last, but not least, she is a super caring individual who wants what is best for her family, friends, and peers. Sophia is always aware of others needs ahead of her own. Perhaps the best part of Sophia is how humble she is. In fact, she is probably going to be upset at me for even writing this and her getting an award. Yet, that is also what makes her great."
Taylor was nominated by Dr. Ridgway for the following mindsets: Everything is Possible, The Time is Now, and 100% Accountable.
Here's what Dr. Ridgway had to say about Taylor: "Sometimes I feel like Taylor does not realize just how amazing she is. She is the type of student who diligently does her work and wants to meet teacher expectations. What some do not realize is the intense amount of pressure she puts on herself to be the best she can be. Taylor often considers all vantage points before making a decision. She is thoughtful and kind to others. She does little things to help her peers. She is respectful to adults. She is an all around wonderful part of our BASA community."
Ms. Reeves was nominated by Dr. Ridgway for the following mindsets: Live to Give, We are Connected, Everything is Possible, Passion First, and 100% Accountable.
Here's what Dr. Ridgway had to say about Ms. Reeves: "Is there really anyone more giving than Ms. Reeves? She will drop whatever she is doing to help those in need whether it be to listen, offer advice, fix a school issue, or help with the 1000 things that can occur in a day. Ms. Reeves is one of the hardest workers whose skill set is beyond compare. She is the pulse of our school and honestly she makes SIMS and BASA a cohesive unit."
Chef Williams was nominated by Dr. Ridgway for the following mindset: Live to Give.
Here's what Dr. Ridgway had to say about Chef Williams: "I asked if the students/chef would make us pancakes for FAT TUESDAY! I knew it would be a great bonding experience for ELA. Chef Williams delivered!"
