The Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy would like to congratulate Mrs. April Balenger for being selected to pilot the ENGAGE Middle School civics program.  This program, run by the Georgia Center for Civic Engagement, allows students to participate in Model United Nations and Model State Legislature simulations to foster a sense of civic duty as well leadership and service learning.  This is an amazing opportunity for our BASA students which is not available at other local schools.  Congratulations, Mrs. Balenger!
