magnet programs & diplomas

Students at the Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy have the opportunity to enroll in one of our four magnet academies or in the Innovation Diploma program. 

In a magnet academy, students take a deep dive into their area of passion in both their academic and elective courses. They also qualify for special recognition when graduating. We currently offer magnet programs in Visual Art and Design, Performing Arts, Life and Health Science, and STEM. 

Students in our Innovation Diploma program are able to leverage the many courses and pathways offered at BASA, Sims Academy, and Lanier Technical College to get an early start on their college and career preparation.
