IDEA Parent Survey
Open from January 15, 2020 – May 31, 2020
The IDEA Parent Survey helps the state to determine parents’ perception of the success of parent engagement between the local school and themselves. The information is gathered as a component of the State Performance Plan, Indicator 8: Percent of parents with a student receiving special education services who report that schools facilitated parent involvement as a means of improving results for children with disabilities. The data collected is reported in the Annual Performance Report and on the system profile about each system. Each state is required to conduct a parent survey collection process to measure parent/family needs and perceptions.
Parent Climate Star Survey
Open from Nov 19, 2019 until March 2, 2020
Each year, the state of Georgia releases a School Climate Star Rating for every school. We are always striving for a 5-star rating at every school! School climate is measured through four components: student, staff and parent surveys (25%), student discipline (25%), school-wide attendance (25%) and safe and substance-free learning environment (25%). Your survey responses will be to identify areas in need of improvement and contribute to the schools overall Climate Star Rating. It should only take five or ten minutes to complete the survey.
The window for parent feedback for our current academic year (2019-2020) is now open. It is important that the majority of our parents provide input for this important state-wide climate rating of our school.
