Latinos at Amazon Affinity Group Donates $1,500 Worth of Classroom Supplies!

Amazon gives WMS ESOL Program $1500 worth of learning supplies

Latinos at Amazon affinity group has generously donated $1,500 worth of classroom learning supplies to Westside Middle School (WMS). The supplies will go to English as a Second Language (ESOL) classrooms. Eddie Scarbrough, WMS ESOL Teacher, applied for the Amazon grant.

There were several boxes containing items such as books, puzzles, sensory fidgets, markers and more.

"To have a community partner that is willing to donate supplies to support kids is always appreciated. It helps the kids to know that the community as a whole supports them and their learning." said WMS Principal Albert Smith.

The donation is part of an ongoing commitment to enhancing educational resources for English language learners. The contribution highlights Amazon's dedication to supporting educational initiatives and fostering a positive learning environment.

"We deeply value the vital role the ESOL program plays in helping students master English as a second language, and we hope this donation will provide valuable resources for success in their academic journey," said Teresa Blakenship GM Assistant at Amazon distribution center in Pendergrass.
