Melissa Perez

Dr. Melissa Perez began her position as Assistant Principal at Winder-Barrow High School in July 2024. She has more than 18 years of experience in education ranging from teacher, professor, associate principal, and assistant principal.

Dr. Perez began her teaching career in 2005 as a Spanish teacher at Morgan County High School. She became an Assistant Principal at Clarke Middle School in 2019 and then served as Associate Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Cedar Shoals High School from 2020-2024.

She enjoys spending her time with her three children and family. She is expecting her first grandchild in October 2024.

• Master's Degree in World Language Education - University of Georgia
• PhD in Language and Literacy Education
