Angela Powell

My name is Angela Powell. I grew up in the Snellville area and graduated from South Gwinnett High School. I then attended Georgia Southern University and got my bachelors in History Education, graduating in the fall of 2008. I taught at South Effingham Middle School from 2009 until 2016. While working at South Effingham I also attended Georgia Southern and completed my masters degree in Teaching and Learning in 2012 and finished my Education Specialist degree, also in Teaching and Learning in 2016.

The 2020-2021 school year is my fifth at Winder-Barrow High School! I am excited to be back in the same area where I grew up and to be BARROW BOLD!

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, son and two stepsons. I also enjoy exercising, photography, watching college football and spending time outdoors.
