Jennifer Chisholm

I grew up in Destin FL and have lived in Georgia for 22 years. This is my 19th year at WBHS.

I coached swimming for 14 seasons at WBHS and am coaching track for my 11 season. I hung all of the coaching up to be with my family and get a new outlook on life!!

Teaching:

I am in my 19th year of teaching at Winder-Barrow High School and in my 17th year of teaching math. This is my 23rd year in education.

Before teaching at WBHS, I taught a half of year of middle school at Westside Middle and a year of elementary school at Nesbit Elementary (Gwinnett County). I also taught 4 years at Agnes Scott College and worked 2 years at the State Department of Education in the Curriculum and Reading department.

High School, College and Degrees:

Fort Walton Beach High School, Fort Walton Beach FL: Class of 1993! I was a member of the Wheelettes (associated with Rotary International), National Thespian Society, National Honor Society, Student Council and some other organizations, that I can't remember at the the time.

I was also a constant athlete. I was on the football team two years as an athletic trainer and actually kicked a game. I have a 1991 state championship football ring from my junior year. Heisman trophy winner, Danny Wuerrfel was our quarterback that year. I also swam for one year, ran cross country for 2 years and ran track for 4 years. I went to state in cross country and track every year I ran. I love sports and am proud of how hard I worked in high school.

Okaloosa-Walton Community College, Niceville FL: 2 History Classes. I started college while I was in high school and earned two history credits through dual enrollment.

Troy University - Troy, AL: Class of 1997: Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Minors in Criminal Justice and Sign Language: I was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, Leadership Scholar, Scholarship Athlete for Varsity Cross Country and Varsity Track, was Diamond Doll (Baseball hostess and recruiting team), Trojan Hostess (Football hostess and recruiting team), Residence Hall Association.

Troy University - Troy, AL: Class of 1998: Master of Arts in Education (Physical Education): Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Graduate Assistant in Student Activities, Summa Cum Laude Graduate,

University of Georgia - Athens GA: 2003: Teaching Certificate in Special Education:

University of Phoenix - Doctorate in Educational Leadership: Currently completing dissertation

Personal Life:

I live in Winder. I am married to Johnny Chisholm. I have a son, Jamison, who is in 10th grade, a bonus daughter, Madison (graduated in 2020) and a bonus son, Eli (8th grade).

I have an awesome mixed breed rescue dog, who is just precious. I have a young chihuahua, who is so stinkin' cute and also a loud purring cat. My mom lives with us, too.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, doing things outdoors, travelling, being crafty and anything else I can find. I always love watching movies, learning, hanging out by the pool or taking naps.
