Makayle Quinn recognized as FFA National Finalist!le

FFA Member Makayle Quinn

Winder-Barrow FFA member Makayle Quinn has achieved a remarkable milestone by being named a national finalist in the Agricultural Proficiency award category of Equine Science - Entrepreneurship at the 97th National FFA Convention. This prestigious recognition places her among the top four competitors in the nation. Students in this category develop a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) that encompasses various aspects of the equine industry, including horse production, breeding, marketing, and showing.

In addition to Makayle’s impressive accomplishment, the Georgia FFA Association celebrated a banner year at the convention, showcasing the talents of its members. The state proudly boasted 12 national champions, the 2024 American Star Farmer, and a newly elected National Southern Region Vice President. Georgia’s success was further highlighted by two first-place teams and individuals in Career Development Events (CDE) and Leadership Development Events (LDE), along with six national proficiency award winners and two Agriscience Fair award winners.

Moreover, five Georgia members showcased their talents as part of the National FFA Band, Chorus, and Talent program. A total of 181 Georgia FFA members were honored with the prestigious American FFA Degree, the highest accolade available to active members.

The Georgia FFA Association is immensely proud of all its competitors, award recipients, and members who were recognized at this year’s National FFA Convention, reflecting the dedication and hard work of the entire organization.
