Trey Neupert
Principal - KES
2024 marks my 22nd year in education and I'm happy to start a new school year as the Principal of Kennedy Elementary. I taught high school science and coached soccer at Cedar Shoals High School from 2002-2008 then moved to Russell Middle School to teach 6th and 7th grade science from 2008-2012. I was named Teacher of the Year for 2013 and was a District Teacher of the Year finalist. I was the Assistant Principal at Westside Middle School from 2013-2018 and the Assistant Principal at Kennedy Elementary since 2018.
Your child’s well-being is my number one concern. I want each student to feel safe, secure, and loved every day. I truly believe that through building positive relationships and providing a caring and safe learning environment, we will help each child be as successful as they can be, each and every day. I can’t wait to work with our faculty and staff to make Kennedy Elementary School a great place to learn, grow, and succeed for all of our students!
I love music, soccer, and reading. I have a student at the Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy and a student here at Kennedy Elementary. I've been part of the Winder community for the past 20 years.
EDUCATION
I went to the University of Georgia for my bachelor’s in secondary science education, my master’s in educational leadership, and I worked on my doctorate up to my dissertation in educational leadership there as well.
