Our New Name: Horizon Program

The Barrow County Alternative Education Program (BCAEP) continues to improve and provide additional options for our growing and impressionable population. The program is dedicated to changing the lives and decision-making of students who attend the program.

To better align with the program's mission, we will be changing the name to the Horizon Program. The new name aims to capitalize on two main areas:

1. Help students envision better things on the horizon of their future

2. Overcome negative public perception associated with the current name

The new name will go into effect for the 2023-2024 school year.
