Due to the icy conditions on secondary roads that will persist overnight and into tomorrow, the Barrow County School System will remain closed and after-school activities are canceled for Thursday, Jan. 23. Additionally, the public hearing concerning Georgia House Bill 581 scheduled for Jan. 23 will be postponed. That date will be announced soon.

We are grateful to our public safety partners and our staff for assessing the roads and for the continued care they show to our community.
