HES welcomes Reading with the Stars!

On March 7, Holsenbeck hosted stars of our community and beyond to show their love of reading with our hawks!

On March 7th, Holsenbeck celebrated Reading with the Stars.

Heroes, celebrities, and athletes came to Holsenbeck to share their love of reading with our students.

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible. Our hawks have such great role models in the community and beyond.

Pre-K

“I liked the bear puppet Ms Green brought.”  Oriana M.

Kindergarten

My favorite part was when an actress who played in an actual tv show read us a book.  Draya S.

I liked listening to Kelsey and Lily read and answer our questions.  - Annalyse M. 

Dr. McMichael read the book 7 ate 9 which was really funny. - Zabella W. 

It was good to have Mrs. Maynard read to us again. She read a fractured fairytale like she did in when she taught 2nd grade. - Jossy M. 

4th Graders

Will G. "My favorite part was Jud Smith because the book he read was awesome and, he confirmed my suspicion that cops really do love donuts."

Kaylee G. "My favorite was Chandon Sullivan because he answered all of our questions about football and what inspired him to play in the NFL."

AubreeAnne B. and Jayvon H. "We liked Nike because they taught us a fun cheer that they do every morning and gave some of us cool prizes like stickers and bracelets."

"My favorite part of Reading with the Stars was when Sheriff Jud Smith was making different voices for each character!"  -Ale C.

5th Graders
