Chris Moore
Fourth Grade Advanced Content Teacher
Chris Moore has a passion for teaching her elementary learners and pushes them to feed off her energy. Chris is a firm believer in a “do it to learn it” approach and encourages her students to become active participants in her classroom, whether it be through visual arts, drama, dance, or engineering, just to name a few.
Chris has taught in both the public and private school setting and has been Barrow Bold for three years. She has two degrees from the University of Georgia. Her first is in Broadcast Journalism, followed by her Education degree. They both work simultaneously in her classroom as she “broadcasts” the curriculum daily in fun and innovative ways, keeping her students connected to their learning. She also is Gifted Endorsed and is part of the ArtsNow Residency.
Both allow her to push her students to discover more about themselves and their world.
Science and Social Studies are Chris’ drive. She enjoys the content, but more importantly, enjoys how they both can be brought to life in the classroom. Her goal is to guide students through understanding the hows and the whys that both content areas bring to focus. Chris loves to challenge her students so that they take risks to answer those questions and then apply those answers to life
