Welcome to Bear Creek Middle School, Home of the Grizzlies!

I began my career as a school counselor in 2006 at Winder-Barrow Middle School and transitioned with the rest of my WBMS family to Bear Creek Middle School in Fall 2013. Now, I have the great honor and privilege to continue serving the students, families, community, and faculty of Bear Creek Middle School as a part-time Assistant Principal and part-time School Counselor.

A little about me … I was born and raised in Gwinnett County. I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Georgia Southern University and a Specialist degree from the University of Georgia. I love spending time with my husband, Mark and our son, Brodie any chance I get. While I spend most of my free time getting my son back-and-forth to his various activities, I also enjoy reading books, watching UGA football, relaxing with a cup of coffee, and experiencing new adventures with my loved ones.

I am excited to continue the BCMS mission of inspiring our students to dream, encouraging them to believe in their full potential, and empowering them to achieve their individual goals. I truly believe with my whole heart that as educators, we are called to intentionally build meaningful relationships with our students, families, and colleagues, promote high expectations, and provide students with relevant learning opportunities.
